thankful thursday// vol.1
I know- sharing something I'm thankful for on Thanksgiving....how original. But seriously, my heart could not be more full.
I am incredibly thankful for my family.
This past year has been a crazy one for my family. We've gotten smaller after several devastating loses, but then we grew immensely after two weddings (mine and my cousins').
I think about how much my family has gone through, how we've lost touch, but through the grace of God have become an even stronger unit. I thank God for the amazing women and men that I get to call family and I cannot help but smile. While not all of our families members are still with us, and some are spending this holiday hundreds of miles away, they have each had an amazing impact on my life. I am grateful for every single one of them.
They are my heart.
Thank you God for blessing me with all these amazing people!

copper boom wishlist
In case you didn't already know it.... I'm a huge Gilmore Girl lover. It's easily one of my all time favorite shows. It probably also has to do with the fact that it was a show my mom and I watched together and helped us bond even closer during high school and college.
So since the new season comes out on Netflix in less than a week (!!!!!!!!!!!) and my mom and a couple friends and I are watching it together, I decided to share a round up of awesome Gilmore Girl things that I've found.... and just in time for you to order for whatever type of viewing party you may be having.
Enjoy!!

it's almost Christmas?!?!?
(above is a christmas gift from last year)
Is it just me or is Christmas just happening sooner and sooner each year? Typically I'm against any decorating or festivities of the Christmas season until Thanksgiving is over..... but this year I'm feeling differently. I've already sipped my first eggnog and I'm looking forward to decorating our place asap.
But don't get me wrong- I'm still loving my pumpkin decorations (and refuse to take them down in my classroom)!!!
So which are you leaning towards? Still decorated for Fall, or ready to decorate for Christmas??

jax faves// cinotti's
This bakery is absolutely amazing. I don't know how I'd never tried it before (especially because my parents have raved over it for at least a year). But their pumpkin donuts are back in season, so I decided I had to try them. Sooo happy that I did.
Obviously this was right before Halloween and the day of Florida Georgia (a giant football game that takes place in my city every year)....
Between my parents, Austin and I we tried just about everything. Cookies, cupcakes, donuts, and coffee (not all in one day though I promise!)!
This cupcake being rainbow was an awesome surprise. And by the way, yes it was absolutely amazing!!!!!!
I can't wait to go back!!!

jax faves// maple street company
One of my goals for this year has been to try and document all the places around my city. Granted, I've been to Maple Street Biscuit Company a ton of times, but it's a definite favorite.
It also was a date with Austin, so documenting it was even more fun.
I love this unique idea-- instead of calling your name when your order is ready, they ask you a question and call out your answer. This was the Saturday before Halloween- so perfect question. Although, I can't remember the answer Austin gave....
This was my brunch order. So amazing! Although, everything I've gotten here is always fantastic!
I definitely need to get one of these shirts the next time!!!!
