recently// simply having a wonderful christmas time

I can't believe Christmas is only 2 weeks away!! I'm still sooooo far from being ready, BUT I'm still enjoying ever minute. I'm also really excited to celebrate this year as a wife!!!

 I love this photo of Austin. He and I debated on real versus fake tree, but he won out (because I told him I wouldn't do the lights). I did check them....although as you can see from above, I may have missed a few (I promise they all worked when I first checked). Luckily we had enough to fix it. 

And Austin was right....the tree looks (and of course smells) amazing!!!

life lately (in photos)

Life lately has been crazy. Good, but crazy. The end of the school year is wrapping up, which means our wedding is getting closer!! It's extremely exciting, but I also keep thinking of all the things still left to do. Ek!!

Since it's the end of the year, our grade level went on a field trip to the Alligator Farm in St. Augustine. I'd never been, so it was pretty amazing. 

 And adventures with my friends (Lexi Loo, Daniel, and Kel) always mean laughter. Whether it's dinner, froyo, or wandering around Target, we always seem find ourselves laughing hysterically. Love them. 

Austin and I went downtown this weekend to our annual Jazz Fest. The photobombers behind us were a bit late..... 

Okay and how cute is this mug??? My future sister-in-law bought it for me and I am in love. 

I've been currently reading this book. It's amazing. At first I was hesitant to read it, it's more of a thesis than a novel, so trying to get into it was a bit difficult. However, I've fallen for it. Keller's thoughts are inspirational.

I can't believe May is over.... how did it fly by that quickly?? I feel like it was one of the busiest months too..... 2 weddings, my good friend had her baby, my birthday, my mom's birthday, my roomie's birthday, Memorial Day weekend at Disney, Kentucky Derby party, joined a kickball league, went on a field trip, had teacher appreciation week (which ROCKED) and wrapping up at school. Whew. 

Good luck beating that June!

inspiration desperation

As much as I love reading blogs and checking pinterest (like all the time) sometimes I'm left feeling inadequate. 

I want to be creative and find the time to make things, but between work and trying to have even a semi-social life I feel like I just don't have the time. I am really trying to remedy this though, with of course what else but lists! 

Lists of little things to do in my spare time that overtime will create something awesome. 

One of the newest things is a pattern inspiration book (thank you HGTV magazines and moleskin journals!

Hopefully the other things I have in mind will work out as well as I have in mind too!!! *fingers crossed*

lately//march

This month has been full! FSAs (standardized tests), spring break, Austin was gone for over a week boarding in Colorado, Disney trip with Austin's family, falling more in love with this awesome guy and time with my momma and pup and friends, making new friends.... 

 I can't believe this month is almost over!!! How does time fly by so quickly?
