pre-wedding wants

While shopping for decor, invitations, and everything else wedding, I've come across soooo many adorable things. So in typical Kellie fashion (or Rory fashion) I made a list of all the amazing things I've come across that engaged me wants really badly. I mean, it's not such a terrible idea since I have a birthday and a wedding coming up and all...right???
So here is the round up of my wedding wants and wishes!

This awesome headband from ban.do.

Love, love, love this card!

All such adorable things!!! And as for the stock of perfume smells, I am trying to decide which scent is my favorite so I can have a signature smell for my wedding day. One scent that whenever I wear it I won't think about how I wore it for work, or fancy nights out, or just to make myself feel better, but instead will remind me of the amazing day Austin and I got married.

how i lost 4 pounds in a year

Okay, okay so you've probably already assumed that this will not be a "how to lose weight" post, because....well....I haven't.
Obviously.
Although I was extremely happy to hear from my doctor that instead of being fat, I actually had lost 4 pounds since the last time I was in (which I stupidly and quickly reminded him was over a year ago).
But hey, I didn't gain weight, so that's a win right?
(photo is of one of my favorite local ice cream places... because a post on weight lost should always include a fatty food picture...but since this technically ins't a "weight lose" post, then it doesn't count)

So speaking of weight... I know that I should be working on that, you know, with a wedding dress to fit into soon and all. But getting motivated, even for that has been ridiculously hard. I mean, can't I just wear Spanx on top of Spanx, on top of Spanx?

So do any of y'all have weight loss methods that have actually worked?? Maybe some that still involve eating decent food, because I am a major fan of my carbs and sweets! (Insert sad face here.) So please share your stories!!

our engagement photos are here!!!

We received our engagement photos this week and I could not be any more excited. Our photographer, Samantha Eckhaus did a fantastic job and the locations we shot at (Park Avenue CDs and a nearby park) were the perfect spots!

For Christmas we got not 1, but 2 record players (one is in a suitcase and travels!! which is in the photos), so we've been going record shopping like crazy, and this record shop was just the perfect location. I also made Austin bring his guitar, because hearing him play is one of my all-time favorite sounds in this world.
I have to admit, being in front of the camera instead of behind it was a little odd, but it was so much fun, and I credit a lot of that to Austin for making me laugh and Samantha for putting us at ease!

So pardon the heavy photo overload that is about to happen, but there were to many amazing photos to pick from.....

I love being engaged. Although, I can't imagine not liking it.....

This past week, Austin and I headed down to Orlando to take some engagement photos. I am soooo excited to see them! Our photographer is amazing.

And the best part is.... I'm going to be a Roby!!!!!

life lately

Life lately has been a gorgeous wedding of our sweet friends, lots of chloe time, work, work, work, work, hanging out with friends, book club and reading a book the size of the Empire State Building. Fun things.

links, links, links (v.20)

Just when you thought Chip and Joanna Gaines couldn't get any cuter....

This is my newest guilty pleasure/addiction.
And this blog is hilarious! Just beware of spoilers!!

I know it's a little late in the year for a new planner, but...this organizing nerd is excited, especially about these adorable homemade planners!!!

These pottery bowls are adorable!! I want one of each. And I can't wait until they (hopefully) come back in stock!!!

Not only do I still love this song, but this artsy quote is pretty amazing too!

The teacher in me NEEDS this shirt.
And this coffee mug!

This dreamy home is gorgeous!!!

I seriously want everything from this website- from the wedding decor to the gifts!

I never thought I would be a fan of wallpaper, but this kind has me possibly thinking differently!

thoughts I had while rewatching Gilmore Girls

Thoughts I had while rewatching Gilmore Girls for the 1 millionth time (to prepare for the Netflix revival)

Season 1, Episode 1:
Oh my gosh- from the beginning…. LOVE this show. And that opening song. But man… so old!
Luke is sooooo young.
OMG LUKE AND LORELAI’s FIRST WORDS TO EACH OTHER!
Macy Gray CD really??
Are you my new daddy?? (FAVORITE LINE FROM THIS EPISODE BTW)
Awwww, Richard. Man it’s going to be weird not having him in the new episodes.
I wonder if Mr. Kim will appear in any of the new episodes.
Was there really ever a Mr. Kim?
Aww Lorelai and Suki talking about opening their own Inn!!
People are particularly dumb today. I can’t talk to any more of them. – Ok Michel… maybe THIS is the best quote of this episode.
The Gilmore living room is so different. When did it change??!
Oh the beginnings of the Friday night dinners!!
DEAN!!!!!
Wow- Dean is such a stalker.
Pull a Menedez? What does that even mean? (Pause to look up).
Lorelai fights with Rory.
Lorelai fights with Emily.
So now Lorelai and Rory make up….
Richard asleep at the table…. Ha!

Such a great episode!!

Can I just say HOW FLIPPIN' EXCITED I AM that Gilmore Girls is coming back!?!?! I cannot wait, but in the meantime I am rewatching the old seasons. So until the revival..... I will be blasting my blog with all things Gilmore Girls (and my wedding of course....priorities)!!
